The manufacturing confidence index in Italy edged down to 87.4 in August 2025, from a fourteen-month high of 87.8 in July, but slightly above market expectations of 87.2. Expectations for production levels worsened, while assessments of orders improved. Additionally, finished goods inventories are seen to have increased compared to last month.
