Slovakia’s consumer confidence indicator fell to -24.4 in August 2025 from -24.1 in the previous month, marking the lowest level since March 2023. The decline was mainly driven by a more pessimistic outlook on household finances (-12.6 vs -10.6 in July) and heightened concerns about unemployment (27.8 vs 27.4). In contrast, sentiment improved toward the country’s overall economic situation (-39.1 vs -39.7), while attitude toward savings in households also strengthened (-18 vs -18.6).
