Retail sales in Denmark increased by 2.7% year-on-year in July 2025, accelerating from a downwardly revised 1.3% rise in the previous month. The acceleration in sales growth occurred as sales improved for both clothing (2.5% vs 0.5% in June) and other consumer goods (6.2% vs 4.6%). In contrast, sales of food and other groceries continued to decline, though at a slower pace (-1.4% vs -2.7% in June). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail activity rose by 0.6% in July, rebounding from a downwardly revised 0.7% drop in the prior month.
