This marked the highest reading since March 2023, as current assessments turned less pessimistic for overall order books (-24 vs -25 in July), while expectations improved for selling prices (1 vs 0) and employment trends (2 vs 0). On the other hand, stocks of finished goods turned negative (-1 vs 3), while production expectations weakened (6 vs 7).
