The Central Bank of Botswana left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 1.90% for the sixth consecutive meeting on August 21, 2025, in a bid to support the domestic economy. The inflation in Botswana dropped to 1.1% in July 2025, the softest since August 2020, from 2% in the prior month, remaining well below the central bank's target range of 3%-6%.
