21 August 2025, 10:47 Denmark: Danish Consumer Morale Weakens in August.
The consumer confidence index in Denmark fell to -17.2 in August 2025 from -15.7 in the previous month. The decline was mainly driven by worsening sentiment toward the country’s economic situation over the next twelve months (-25.5 vs -23.5 in July), as well as views on the economic situation last year (-26.3 vs -21.9) and families' financial situations compared to a year ago (-13 vs -11.1). Meanwhile, assessments of households’ financial situations became slightly less pessimistic (-5.4 vs -5.8). Regarding aspects not factored into the confidence indicator, concerns about unemployment over the next twelve months continued to rise(11.9 vs 11), while expectations for price development in the coming year eased (35.4 vs 36.1).
