Italy’s current account surplus rose to €5.74 billion in June 2025, up from €3.90 billion in the same month a year earlier. The goods surplus increased to €5.53 billion from €5.18 billion, while the services surplus expanded to €1.74 billion from €1.17 billion. On the income side, the primary income deficit narrowed sharply to €0.14 billion from €1.17 billion, offsetting a slight rise in the secondary income deficit, which edged up to €1.40 billion from €1.28 billion.
