U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Tuesday that a document outlining the recent deal on U.S. tariffs on Japanese imports is likely “weeks away.” He explained that the Trump administration plans to revise the application of the 15% reciprocal tariffs on Japan to align with the agreement reached between Washington and Tokyo in July, requiring changes to an existing executive order. At the same time, another executive order is expected to be issued to lower U.S. tariffs on Japanese automobiles from 27.5% to 15%.
