20 August 2025, 09:47  India: India-China Resume Flights, Boost Trade Amid Global Uncertainty.

India and China have agreed to resume direct flights and enhance trade and investment flows as part of efforts to rebuild ties strained by a 2020 border clash. Against the backdrop of U.S. President Donald Trump's unpredictable foreign policy, both nations are cautiously improving relations through high-level visits. The Indian foreign ministry announced plans to reopen border trade at three designated points and ease visa processes, though no date was given for flight resumption. Meanwhile, Beijing confirmed a follow-up meeting next year in China. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit China later this month for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, his first trip there in over seven years.
