18 August 2025, 23:22  Italy: FTSE MIB Slips in Thin Holiday Trading.

The FTSE MIB slipped to 42,630 on Monday in a quiet session marked by low volumes amid the holiday climate. Investors kept focus on geopolitical developments after the Alaska summit, where Russian President Vladimir Putin pushed through a Moscow-favorable deal. US President Donald Trump is set to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and European leaders in Washington to discuss a settlement that considers Kyiv’s stance. In the US, attention turns to the Fed, with the July FOMC minutes due Wednesday and the Jackson Hole Symposium later in the week, where Chair Jerome Powell’s speech on Friday will be closely watched. On the corporate front, Unicredit (-0.9%), Ferrari (-0.2%), Intesa Sanpaolo (-0.4%), and BCA Popolare di Sondrio (-1%) declined, while Leonardo (+3%) and Prysmian (+1.6%) advanced.
