18 August 2025, 11:56 Czech Republic: Producer Prices Drop More than Expected.
Producer prices in the Czech Republic decreased by 1.2% year-on-year in July 2025, more than market forecasts and June’s 0.7% fall. This marked the sixth consecutive month of declining producer prices, mainly due to lower costs for mining and quarrying (-4.2% vs -3.9% in June) and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (-4.0% vs -3.7%). Additionally, prices for manufacturing dropped by 0.4% from a 0.3% increase in the prior month. Meanwhile, costs for water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services remained steady at 4.1%. On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 0.1% in July, rebounding from a 0.2% drop in the previous month.
