Kyrgyzstan’s annual inflation rate rose to 8.8% in July 2025, from 8.0% in each of the previous two months. This marked the highest level since October 2023, driven by higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages (11.5% vs 10.2% in June), transport (5.4% vs 2.4%), recreation and culture (6.4% vs 5.4%), restaurants and hotels (2.1% vs 1.8%), health (7.8% vs 7.6%), and miscellaneous goods and services (3.0% vs 2.4%), Meanwhile, price growth slowed for housing and utilities (13.3% vs 14.1%), clothing and footwear (2.0% vs 2.1%), and education (24.2% vs 24.4%), while communication costs decreased (-0.1% vs -0.1%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.6% in July, following a 0.7% rise in June.
