The number of building permits issued in Serbia rose by 2.0% year-on-year to 2,402 in June 2025. Of the total permits issued, 83.8% were for buildings, while the remaining 16.2% were for civil engineering construction. When only buildings are concerned, 82.0% of permits were issued for residential buildings, and 18.0% for non-residential ones. As for civil engineering projects, the majority (65.7%) were issued for pipelines, communication, and electric power lines. Meanwhile, new construction works accounted for 88.7% of the total anticipated value of works.
