15 August 2025, 13:30 Kazakhstan: Industrial Output Growth at 5-Month High.
Kazakhstan’s industrial production rose by 8.9% year-on-year in July 2025, accelerating from a 7.2% increase in the previous month. This marks the strongest expansion in industrial activity since February, driven by a stronger output increase in manufacturing (9.6% vs 3.1% in June) and electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and air conditioning supply (9.6% vs 2.8%). On the other hand, production growth slowed in the mining and quarrying sector (8.6% vs 11.8%), while it declined further for water supply, waste collection and treatment, and pollution (-16.4% vs -0.8%). On a monthly basis, industrial activity fell by 3.4% in July, slipping from a 2.7% advance in the preceding period. Considering the January to July period, industrial output was up 6.5% compared to the same period last year.
