15 August 2025, 02:45  New Zealand: Visitor Arrivals Rise by 0.8% YoY in June.

Visitor arrivals to New Zealand increased by 0.8% year-on-year to 186,753 in June 2025. Notable growth came from from Australia (up 755), Singapore (up 1,037), and the United Kingdom (up 437). Total arrivals reached 87% of pre-pandemic levels seen in May 2019, when 219,300 visitors entered the country. Australians made up the largest share of visitors at 45%, up from 42% in 2019, followed by travelers from the United States and China, each accounting for 9% of arrivals. China’s share, however, remained below its 2019 level of 13%. Arrivals from India rose to 5% of the total, up from 3% in 2019, while the United Kingdom and Singapore each accounted for 3%, with Singapore’s share rising from 2% previously. The steady rebound in tourism reflects continued recovery in New Zealand’s international travel sector.
