14 August 2025, 20:34  USA: Natgas Prices Fall to 9-Month Low.

US natural gas futures fell 1.5% to $2.79/MMBtu, the lowest since November 2024, after the EIA reported a large storage build. Utilities injected 56 bcf in the week to August 8, lifting total storage to 3.186 tcf, 6.6% above the five-year average and slightly above the forecast 53 bcf increase. Also, output in the Lower 48 states averaged 108.3 bcfd so far in August, topping July’s record 107.9 bcfd. Meanwhile, LNG exports are also climbing, with average feedgas flows to US export plants at 16.2 bcfd this month, up from 15.5 bcfd in July. Looking ahead, above-normal heat is expected through August 27, although forecasts show lower intensity than earlier projected.
