14 August 2025, 12:45  Belgium: Trade Surplus Slumps in June.

Belgium’s trade surplus narrowed sharply to EUR 716.6 million in June 2025 from EUR 1,138.0 million in the same month of the previous year. Exports edged up 0.9% year-on-year to EUR 41,077.2 million, dragged down by lower shipments to EU countries (-1.1%) but rising to non-EU destinations (5.3%). In contrast, imports rose 2.0% to EUR 40,360.6 million, driven by higher purchases from non-EU countries (10.0%) while imports from the EU declined (-2.6%). For the January-June period, Belgium recorded a trade surplus of EUR 11,585.2 million, up from EUR 10,288.4 million in the same period last year.
