13 August 2025, 20:40  Italy: FTSE MIB Rises on European Optimism.

The FTSE MIB rose 0.6% to close at 42,186 on Wednesday, as broad-based buying lifted European markets to near two-week highs. Technology and defense stocks rebounded from recent losses after soft US inflation data reinforced expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut next month. Meanwhile, European and Ukrainian leaders were set to speak with US President Donald Trump ahead of his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Leonardo (+1.7%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+1.6%), Enel (+1.3%), BPER Banca (+2.1%), Ferrari (+0.5%), and BCA Pop Sondrio (over +3%) advanced, while STMicroelectronics (-1%) and Prysmian (-1.4%) led losses.
