13 August 2025, 12:08 Czech Republic: Current Account Deficit Widens in June.
The Czech Republic’s current account deficit widened to CZK 68.79 billion in June 2025 from CZK 24.82 billion in the corresponding month last year, way below the market forecasts of CZK 22.95 billion shortfall. This marked the largest deficit since September 2022, as both goods and services accounts surplus narrowed, to CZK 42.40 billion from CZK 45.10 billion and to CZK 8.96 billion from CZK 13.13 billion, respectively. The primary income gap narrowed to CZK 30.66 billion from CZK 36.28 billion, while the secondary income shortfall narrowed to CZK 1.09 billion from CZK 5.58.
