The CAC 40 rose 0.7% to close at 7,753 on Tuesday, reversing the prior session’s losses after the extension of a US–China tariff truce lifted global risk appetite. The 90-day delay on steep duty hikes eased trade tensions and preserved existing terms, opening the door to a potential meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping later this year. Geopolitically, Trump suggested that both Kyiv and Moscow may need to make territorial concessions to end the war, ahead of his planned summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday.
