12 August 2025, 11:49  Turkey: Current Account Shifts to Deficit.

Turkey recorded a current account deficit of $2.01 billion in June 2025, shifting from a surplus of $0.83 billion in the same month of the previous year. This marked the eighth consecutive month of shortfall, as the goods account deficit increased to $6.48 billion in June 2025 from $4.14 billion a year earlier, while the services account surplus decreased to $5.99 billion from $6.07 billion. Additionally, the primary income deficit widened to $1.45 billion from $1.1 billion in June 2024, while the secondary income registered a shortfall of $0.065 billion, reversing a surplus of $0.003 billion recorded a year earlier.
