Industrial production in Slovenia dropped by 4.3% year-on-year in June 2025, deepening from a 0.2% fall in the previous month. This marked the fifth consecutive month of decline in the industrial activity, mainly driven by significant decreases in the output of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply (-18.8% vs -0.9% in May) and the manufacturing sector (-2.3% vs -0.2%). Additionally, activity in the mining and quarrying sector tumbled by 0.5%, reversing a 37.5% surge in the prior month. On a monthly basis, industrial output edged down 0.1% in June, slipping from a 0.5% increase in the preceding period.
