4 June 2025, 12:56 Czech Republic: Inflation Rises to 2.4% in May.
The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic rose to 2.4% in May 2025 from 1.8% in the previous month, preliminary estimates showed. This was driven by higher costs for services (4.9% vs 4.7% in April), food, alcohol, & tobacco (4.8% vs 3.3%), and goods (0.9% vs 0.2%). Meanwhile, energy costs fell (-6.2% vs -6.3%), though at a softer pace. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.5%, the highest in four months, rebounding from a 0.1% decline in April.
