3 June 2025, 21:17 Germany: DAX Ends at 1-Week High.
Frankfurt's DAX gained ground to close about 0.7% firmer at one-week highs of 24,092 on Tuesday, recovering from yesterday's losses and outperforming its regional peers. Market sentiment improved as softer-than-expected Eurozone inflation data bolstered expectations for a 25 basis point rate cut by the ECB later this week. However, gains were tempered by renewed concerns over global growth following the OECD’s downgraded economic outlook and rising political uncertainty in the Netherlands after the collapse of the ruling coalition. Additionally, lingering global trade tensions continued to cast a shadow over investor confidence. Among individual stocks, top gainers included Airbus (+2.3%), Siemens Energy (+2%), SAP (+2%), BMW (+1.9%), Vonovia (+1.9%) and Infineon Technologies (+1.6%).
