The AIB Ireland Manufacturing PMI declined to 52.6 in May 2025 from 53.0 in April, which was the strongest expansion since June 2022, amid concerns over the impact of tariffs and global trade tensions. It marked the fifth consecutive month of expansion in factory activity, supported by a solid rise in total new orders, as improving domestic demand helped to offset weaker foreign sales.
