27 June 2025, 15:30 Belgium: Inflation Sees Modest Rebound in June.
Belgium’s annual inflation rate rose to 2.15% in June 2025 from 2.01% in the previous month, ending a four-month trend of slowing price growth. This modest uptick was driven by accelerated inflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages (3.35% vs. 2.35%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (6.04% vs. 4.68%), and restaurants and hotels (4.31% vs. 3.65%). Conversely, inflation softened in recreation and culture (1.05% vs. 1.51%), housing and utilities (3.01% vs. 4.00%), and health (1.69% vs. 1.89%), while communication slipped into deflation (-0.06% vs. 0.85%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.35% in June, rebounding from a 0.16% drop in May.
