Retail sales in Denmark rose by 4% year-on-year in May 2025, easing from a 4.9% rise in the previous month. This was mainly due to the slowdown in sales for food and other groceries (0.1% vs 4.7% in April). Meanwhile, sales increased for clothing (6.2% vs 0.2%) and consumer goods (6.8% vs 5.3%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail activity grew by 1%, following a 0.4% rise in the preceding month.
