Producer prices in the French domestic market decreased by 0.8% month-over-month in May 2025, easing from a revised 4.2% decline in the previous month, which was the sharpest drop in two years. Prices fell at a slower pace for mining and quarrying, energy, and water (-3.4% vs -14.7% in April), as well as manufactured products (-0.1% vs -0.5%), particularly coke and refined petroleum (-1% vs -7.8%), electrical and electronic equipment, computers and machinery (-0.1% vs -0.3%), and other manufactured goods (-0.2% vs -0.3%). On a yearly basis, producer prices rose by 0.2% in May, rebounding from a revised 0.7% fall in April.
