Japan's annual inflation rate edged down to 3.5% in May 2025 from 3.6% in the previous two months, marking the lowest level since November. Core inflation climbed to an over 2-year high of 3.7% from 3.5% in April. Monthly, the CPI rose 0.3%, up from a 0.1% gain in April.
