The unemployment rate in Austria rose to 6.9% in May 2025 from 6.4% in the corresponding month of the previous year. The number of unemployed persons climbed by 23.1 thousand from a year earlier to 296.1 thousand. Compared to the previous period, unemployed persons decreased by 15.7 thousand.
