11 June 2025, 20:30  Italy: FTSE MIB Cautious After US-China Talks.

The FTSE MIB edged down by less than less than 0.1% on Wednesday to close near 40,180, as investors digested the tentative US-China trade agreement. Although both sides signaled progress, final approval by Presidents Trump and Xi is still pending, and the lack of specifics kept market sentiment cautious. Meanwhile, US inflation data for May came in just below expectations, suggesting tariffs had not yet impacted consumer prices - adding to speculation about future policy moves regarding interest rates. On the corporate front, Azimut (+2.5%), A2a (+1.9%), FinecoBank (+1.7%), and Italgas (+1.4%) led gains. On the downside, Nexi (-2.5%), Saipem (-2.1%), Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (-1.4%), and Stellantis (-1.3%) were among the session's worst performers.
