Сhina plans to suspend some laws on foreign investment in proposed free trade zones, the State Council reportedly said Sunday. The government intends to cut bureaucracy and attract more foreign companies into the economy. The State Council will submit a draft document to the National People's Congress seeking power to remove some laws governing foreign investment in the free trade zones. In July, China's central authorities pledged to maintain steady economic growth in the second half of 2013 despite the extremely complicated domestic and international conditions. According to latest official figures, China attracted $14.4 billion of foreign direct investment in June, which was 20.12 percent higher than a year earlier.
