The Kansas-City Fed reported Thursday on increase of manufacturing composite index to 6 in July from -5 in June. That is the highest reading since August 2012.
On a year-over-year comparison, the composite index lowered a bit to 2 from 3.
The production index grew to 21 in July from -17 in June, that is the highest level since June 2011.
The new orders index is up to 5 in July from -10 prior.
The employment index inched to -2 from -1 last month.
The prices paid index increased to 16 vs 14 prior.
The composite expectations index edged down to 7 in July from 12 in June.
The Kansas City Fed district includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and western Missouri.
