Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan reported on decrease in final reading of consumer sentiment index. On overall, sentiments fell from 78.6 in March to 76.4 in April. Consumers remained concerned about their employment and financial prospects as only 9% rated policy favorable.
Current economic conditions index slipped in April to 89.9 from 90.7 in March, and consumer expectations decreased to 67.8 from 70.8.
As for inflation expectation, for 12 month it fell to 3.1% in April from 3.2% prior, while the survey's 5-10-year inflation expectations moved to 2.9% from 2.8%.
