29 March 2013, 19:40  USA: March consumer sentiments index grew to 78.6, maximum since November

According to the University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters final consumer sentiments index grew to 78.6 in March, that is the highest level since November 2012, compared to 77.6 in February.
The preliminary March reading was at 71.8. Analysts admit that markets and consumers are more worried on large federal spending cuts and sequester.
The current conditions index rose to 90.7 from 87.5 earlier this month.
The expectations index jumped to 70.8 from 61.7.
