Sales of new homes in the USA rise 15.6% to annual 437,000 in the first month of 2013 year and is the highest pace since July 2008, according to Commerce Department.
The data release on Tuesday showed growth in December revised sales up to 378,000 from 369,000 prior on a seasonally adjusted level. The median price of a new home decreased more than 9% to 226,400 USD in January from 249,800 USD prior, indicating that buyers are more interested in less expensive properties.
The US new home sales in january 2013 are almost 29% higher than a year ago, in January 2012.
