2 October 2012, 22:13  French Prime Minister: European fiscal pact doesn`t intervere the sovereignty

French Prime Minister Jean-March Ayrault on Tuesday reassures the lawmakers that in spite of their fears about European fiscal pact "budgetary sovereignty will remain with parliament."
The support in the National Assembly is important for the ruling Socialist Party as the vote to ratify fiscal pact is coming up next week.
Jean-March Ayrault tells that fiscal discipline has no threat to budget powers, as "the treaty itself doesn't put any constraint on the level of public spending. It doesn't dictate the method to adopt to rebalance public accounts".
French Prime Minister says that fiscal pact shows "our will not to let financial markets dictate our policy, and to find margins for manoeuvre again". All European Union countries except the Czech Republic and the U.K. signed up for the pact in March.
