French provisional, seasonally-adjusted trade figures for September showed a deficit of 3.083 bln eur compared with a deficit of 2.715 bln in August, revised from a deficit of 2.816 bln eur reported originally. Exports in September totalled 34.411 bln eur compared with 34.510 bln the month before, revised from 34.667 bln. Imports were 37.494 bln eur compared with 34.510 bln in August, revised from 37.483 bln reported originally. The trade balance for the year to date showed a deficit of 26.058 bln eur compared with minus 20.436 bln over the same period last year. Food products showed a September surplus of 672 mln eur against a 762 mln surplus in August. The Energy balance in the month gave a deficit of 3.825 bln eur compared with a deficit of 3.302 bln a month ago, while the industrial balance showed a deficit of 1.586 bln eur, down from a 1.828 bln deficit last time.
