The Ifo research institute said its business climate index for Germany in June fell to 107.0 compared with 108.6 in May which was below expectations. Economists had forecast the index to be at 108.3. The business assessment sub-index, which measures current conditions, fell to 111.4 from 112.5 in May, below the consensus of 112.3. The business expectations sub-index, which measures expectations for the next six months, fell to 102.8 from 104.8 in May, below the economists' forecasts that it would be flat.
