The value of construction orders received last month by the 50 largest contractors in Japan dropped 0.2 pct year-on-year to 705.55 bln yen, the first fall in two months, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said. Domestic private-sector orders rose 9.1 pct last month to 570.5 bln yen, increasing for the fourth straight month, while public-sector orders dropped 45.5 pct to 63.3 bln yen, falling for the first time in two months. Orders from overseas were down 0.4 pct at 29.4 bln yen and other miscellaneous orders rose 10.5 pct to 42.3 bln yen, the ministry said
