The seasonally adjusted jobless rate in Germany in March was 11.4 pct, up from 11.3 pct in February, the Labour Office said Economists had forecast the rate to remain at 11.3 pct this month The Labour Office said the number of jobless rose a seasonally-adjusted 30,000 in March from February, exceeding the forecast of economists polled by AFX News, who had forecast an increase of 5,000 The announcement confirmed information AFX obtained earlier from sources The Bundesbank said separately the seasonally adjusted number of jobless reached 4.730 mln, up from 4.700 mln in February On an unadjusted basis, the number of jobless fell by around 72,000 to 4.976 mln from 5.048 mln in February, the Labour Office said Compared with March last year, the number of unadjusted jobless dropped by 290,290 The unadjusted jobless rate fell to 12.0 pct from 12.2 pct in February, the office added
