UK annual house price inflation rose at an annual rate of 2.5 pct in November, up from a revised 1.8 pct gain the previous month, government figures showed today. The figure is above analysts' forecasts for a rise of 2.3 pct, although this is offset somewhat by the revision to October's data to just a gain of just 1.8 pct from the initial estimate of 2.2 pct. Between October and November, prices rose by 0.6 pct, according to data from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. The average house price stood at 186,431 stg in November, up from 185,398 in October.
