Shares were lower in midday trade as news and results from Metro, BASF and Altana that disappointed the market outweighed solid figures from Henkel, Continental and MAN as well as news Deutsche Telekom is not planning a bid for O2, dealers said. At 12.17 pm, the DAX 30 index was 12.08 points or 0.25 pct lower at 4,910.47, having moved between 4,910.08-4,952.41 so far this session. The MDAX was at 6,804.70, up 1.60 points or 0.02 pct, while the TecDAX was at 575.97, up 6.50 points or 1.14 pct. The DAX future was at 4,924.00, down 4.50 points or 0.09 pct, while the bund future was at 120.01, down 0.34.
