The value of orders for anti-pollution machinery fell 28.0 pct in August from a year earlier to 52.25 bln yen, according to a survey conducted by the Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers (JSIM). However, orders were up 53.4 pct month-on-month, the JSIM said. The category comprises equipment for air pollution control, water pollution control, waste processing and noise elimination.
