13 September 2005, 09:23  Japan July industrial output mth-on-mth fall revised to 1.2 pct from 1.1 pct

Industrial output in July fell a seasonally-adjusted 1.2 pct from the previous month, compared to the initial estimate of 1.1 pct, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said. Shipments in July fell 1.5 pct from June, compared with the previous estimate of 1.2 pct, while inventories increased 0.5 pct instead of the initially reported 0.4 pct, the ministry said. The seasonally-adjusted operating ratio index for July declined 1.6 pct from June to 102.7. Japan's factories and mines operated at 91.4 pct of capacity in July, unchanged from the previous month.
