9 August 2005, 10:48  Germany's trade surplus in June was at 16.8 bln euro

Germany's trade surplus in June was at 16.8 bln eur, up from the surplus of 12.1 bln in May and up from a surplus of 14.6 bln in June last year, the Federal Statistics Office said. It said the current account surplus in June totaled 10.4 bln eur compared with the surplus of 5.5 bln in May and 8.1 bln in June last year. German exports reached 68.6 bln eur in June, up from 63.5 bln in May and up from 62.6 bln in June last year. German imports were at 51.9 bln eur in June, up from 51.5 bln in May and compared with 48.0 bln in June last year.
