4 August 2005, 10:57  Euroshares outlook - flat ahead of ECB, BoE decisions

Shares on Europe's leading exchanges are tipped to start the session broadly unchanged as investors await news from The European Central Bank and the Bank of England -- which is expected to trim rates, dealers said. A new wave of earnings news will be in focus as well. Last night, the DJIA rose 13.85 points to 10,697.59, but the Nasdaq fell 1.34 points to 2,216.81. In Asia, the Nikkei 225 closed for lunch down 122.95 points at 11,858.85, while the Hang Seng ended its morning session off 17.87 at 15,100.63. And still in Asia, oil prices remained steady at just under 61 usd a barrel after an unexpected gain in US crude stockpiles yesterday.
