Construction orders received in July by Japan's 50 largest contractors rose 20.8 pct year-on-year to 1.13 trln yen, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said. Domestic private-sector orders increased 6.8 pct to 694.9 bln yen, while public-sector orders expanded 11.5 pct to 223.9 bln yen. Orders from overseas surged 268.9 pct to 174.3 bln yen, the ministry said.
