7 July 2005, 13:03  London's Liverpool St Station evacuated after explosion

The area around key central London railway terminal, Liverpool Street station, has been closed by police following reports of an explosion, police said. There is no further information about the disturbance at Liverpool Street, which serves the city's financial district. Meanwhile, a London Underground spokesman said a second 'incident' has taken place on another underground line. The spokesman said there has been "another incident at Edgware Road" station in north west London. There are no immediate reports of casualties from either site. A London ambulance spokeswoman said a number of vehicles have been sent to both scenes. A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade at Liverpool Street said: "We've been called to reports of an explosion, we're down there at the scene at the moment. From this end we've had no definite information." London underground added that all services have been suspended after a power outage, according to Sky News.
