Euro zone producer prices rose 0.4 pct in April from March and were up 4.2 pct year-on-year, said EU statistics agency Eurostat. It said the rise compared to February was 0.7 pct rather than the previously stated 0.6 pct. On a monthly basis, intermediate goods prices rose 0.1 pct, energy prices 1.9 pct and durable consumer goods prices 0.1 pct. Prices for non-durable consumer goods and capital goods were stable. Year-on-year, intermediate goods prices were up 3.6 pct, energy goods up 13.2 pct, capital goods 1.5 pct, durable consumer goods 1.4 pct and non-durable consumer goods 0.7 pct.
